                             During the many years of
                             operations and
                             throughout all the history
                             of Pacific Star Seafoods,
                             Inc., one constant has
                             always remained.

That constant has been the diligent, hard working efforts by the independent fishers delivering their product to our dock in the Kenai River. Pacific Star Seafoods, Inc. works with more than 50 fishing vessels plying the cold, glacier fed waters of Cook Inlet during a typical season. The vessels are equipped with the most modern equipment possible to ensure prompt and wholesome delivery of their daily catch. The crews are dedicated and professional.

All common species of Pacific Salmon are present and commercially fished in Cook Inlet each year: King or Chinook, Red or Sockeye, Silver or Coho, Pink or Humpy and Chum or Keta. The Red or Sockeye The red or Sockeye Salmon are the most abundant and most prized.salmon are the most abundant and the most prized. The meat of the sockeye salmon is crimson to dark red and the omega3 oil content is the highest of all the species caught here. The red colored flesh maintains its color throughout the cooking process and the oil content makes it a terrific choice for the barbecue or smoker. Home canners should think sockeye too!

Pacific Star Seafoods exercises the utmost care in weighing, icing and sorting each load of salmon delivered by a fisher during the course of the fishing season. Cleaning and grading of the salmon by Pacific Star workers follows shortly after each delivery is made. A strict cleanliness and quality control program is always in effect and is strictly enforced.
